Two visits, one prayer…
Visit one: “Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews?” We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:1-2
Visit two: “Then Pilate went back into his headquarters and called for Jesus to be brought to him. ‘Are you the king of the Jews?’ he asked him.
Jesus replied, ‘Is this your own question, or did others tell you about me?’
‘Am I a jew?’ Pilate retorted. ‘Your own people and their leading priests brought you to me for trial. Why? What have you done?’
Jesus answered, ‘My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewiswh leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.’
Pilate said, ‘So you are a king?’
Jesus responded, ‘You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.'” John 18:33-37
Prayer: “King of the Jews, Savior of the world, Lord of truth … your kingdom is not of this world. Bring your Kingdom to the earth and accomplish your will on this earth as it is in heaven.”
