David Mathis of Desiring God Ministries says, "The last 12 verses of Romans 8 (verses 28—39) are the biblical Himalayas, and Romans 8:32 is Mount Everest.
Here's the "view" from the top: "He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" verse 32
This is question I often ask myself. "Is God truly working all the circumstances of our lives for good?" The answer theologically is "yes."
How do I know that? Because of the view from the top … God did not spare his own son but gave him up for this old sinner.
That's the central truth of Christianity. You have to believe that to be saved.
Do I believe God gave his Son? I do. Am I not, therefore, free to believe that God will work out all things for my good? I believe I am. That's why I keep asking God for grace to trust him throughout my days.
