Keep a realistic assessment of yourselves as you stand firm

Self-awareness is a really good thing.  The better you know and acknowledge the truth about yourself the better off you’ll be.  So no pretending.  As you assess your life today, asking the Father what He has for you and He to do together, here are four verses from Luke 24 for you to put on the table:

Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. verse 3

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” verses 31-32

“Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour—when darkness reigns.” verse 53

Is it any wonder that the Apostle Paul wrote to the Jesus followers in Ephesus: “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

And this to the Jesus followers in Corinth:  “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
