Dear Sirs:
I am.
Sincerely Yours,
G. K. Chesterton.
Frankly, that is the attitude of someone who has grasped the message of Jesus.
Similarly, the answer to conflict, and we all have it, is the same: “I am.”
2 Corinthians 5:20 read like this:
20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
Who do you think the us is? That us would be me, and that would be you. The answer to conflict is you and I. Jesus was clear. If we remember that our brother or sister has anything at all against us, we need to leave our gift at the altar and go and be reconciled to those with whom we are in conflict. (Matthew 5:23-24)… whether we are at fault or not.
Are you, am I, willing to be the answer to conflict? Am I, are you, willing to take the initiative?
So, with whom do I/you need to initiate resolution today?
