If you really want the fruit of patience to ripen in your life, give yourself a break!

If we want the fruit of patience to truly ripen in our lives, we must squarely face this question:

“Why do we repeatedly give other people the benefit of the doubt but regularly beat ourselves up for making mistakes?”

There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, says Paul in Romans 8.  And Jesus himself squarely addresses this in John 3:17:

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Before you are impatient with yourself today and start calling yourself a stupid idiot, would you stop a second and consider what Paul said in Romans 8?  Please?

33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

If Jesus is praying for you, there is NO reason whatsoever for you to be calling yourself bad names.  … Amen?
