Who are you, anyway?

From one of my favorite writers, Thomas Merton…

“We are so obsessed with doing that we have no time and no imagination left for being. As a result, men are valued not for what they are but for what they do or what they have – for their usefulness”

A question:  Do you focus on what people do or who they are?

I am always asking people, “What do you do?”

How do you think we can ask people, “Who are you, anyway?”
