Ever-present God, though I do not know what this day will bring, I trust you are with me. You have promised, "I will never forget you. I hold you in the palm of my hand." Fill my empty places with hope and my life with a sense of joy in spite of suffering. Stretch your arms of compassion around me, and embrace me with your comfort. You are my dwelling place, and in you I will rest.
