Are you common or powerful?

Puff of wind Here's Psalm 62:9 in two versions … the English Standard Version first:

"Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath."

And the New Living Translation:

"Common people are as worthless as a puff of wind, and the powerful are not what they appear to be.  If you weigh them on the scales, together they are lighter than a breath of air."

I like the more earthy New Living Translation for this verse, especially because I was reared near the Kansas/Colorado border where the wind blows relentlessly.

Henceforth, in the spirit of the Psalms — commoner or rich and powerful — we all will be called PWs … (puffs of wind).
