Here's Psalm 62:9 in two versions … the English Standard Version first:
"Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath."
And the New Living Translation:
"Common people are as worthless as a puff of wind, and the powerful are not what they appear to be. If you weigh them on the scales, together they are lighter than a breath of air."
I like the more earthy New Living Translation for this verse, especially because I was reared near the Kansas/Colorado border where the wind blows relentlessly.
Henceforth, in the spirit of the Psalms — commoner or rich and powerful — we all will be called PWs … (puffs of wind).
kinda reminds me when i heard a guy describe kneeling in front of Jesus with his face planted the ground, looking to the side, i'm sure the ground will be very flat
