Peter Kreeft, one of my favorite writers, says nothing falls outside God's ultimate sovereignty and creative purposes. He will accomplish what he says…
In Heaven: The Heart's Deepest Longing, Kreeft writes:
"Galaxies revolve and dinosaurs breed and rain falls and people fall in love and uncles smoke cheap cigars and people lose their jobs and we all die — all for our good, the finished product, God's work of art, the Kingdom of Heaven. There's nothing outside heaven except hell. Earth is not out heaven; it is heaven's workshop, heaven's womb." (Page 108-109)
Reading that makes me ask, "What is God trying to do in my life? How is God using the stuff of ordinary experience to change me? What choices can I make to give him freedom to work?
Do I trust that what God started, he will indeed bring to completion (Philippians 1:6)?
