Men must show respect to other men

Real_man Here’s to showing respect to other men.  However else you define being a real man, if you lord it over other men, perhaps even causing them to cower in fear because you’re such a MAN, you are are no man.  Only those men who are deeply insecure and fearful cause other men to fear them.

Here’s what the good apostle Paul says about real men: "Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.  Honor one another above yourselves."

And here’s the apostle Peter’s take on manhood: "Show proper respect to everyone:  Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king."

It’s vital to a man’s self esteem that he be respected by other men.  Is there another man to whom you can should show due respect today?  Then do it.  If you count another man better than yourself, you’ll allow the fruit of the Holy Spirit to ripen in his life and you’ll feel very good about yourself as well.

Don’t know what to actually say, Mr. tough guy? All right.  I’ll prime the pump.  [Obviously, you have be genuine.  This is not about kissing up to another man so he’ll somehow like you.]

Okay, you go up to another man … your boss, your employees, your friends, whomever … and you say something like this, "John, thank you so much for pulling your weight on this project.  It’s really encouraging to me to have you on this job.  Your attitude toward the work around here gives this place a little decency.  Just wanted to say thanks for what you do."

Try it and see if I’m right…
