Always keep watching

"You, too, must keep watch!  For you do not know when the master of the household will return — in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak.  Do not let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning.  I say to you what I say to everyone:  Watch for him!"  Mark 13:35-36

1.  We watch for the coming of the Christ-child.

2.  We watch for the coming Savior who "will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God.  First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves.  Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  Then we will be with the Lord forever."  I Thessalonians 4:16-17

3.  We watch for the prompting of the Holy Spirit to spread joy and give people hope.  As we serve those around us, the Lord gives us strength to believe His Word, enabling us to  soar high on wings like eagles, to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint.
